Here are the original photographs I took on my iPhone. The analog techniques I used involved projecting the typeface through a plastic water jug, onto a white background. The light dispersed as it passed through the plastic, causing distortion and the splitting of white light to occur.
I then went into Lightroom to play around with the colors of the imagery, and narrowed down to these four images. I then went into InDesign to overlay a grid structure onto each image.
Here is the final poster, measuring 40x60in. The complex grid structure compliments and completes the dynamic background image. This particular design is visually engaging and doesn't immediately give everything away - the viewer has to work to piece together the different parts of the poster.
